Planting this immigrant creeper, also known as the immortality herb, is not a sealed book. The optimal location has to be found and the best time has to be awaited. The rest is tried and tested everyday gardening.

The best location for Immortality Herb
In its native Asia, the jungle plant Jiaogulan grows in the shade of neighboring plants. Too much sun also harms you in this country. Select a semi-shady location for them outdoors, because they tolerate sun in the morning and in the evening. Even in the shade, the plant grows healthily, but stays smaller. Which doesn't have to be a disadvantage given their otherwise enormous size.
Indoors it is most easily cultivated as a hanging plant in a bright spot. Since she likes warm and humid air, she is best kept in a bright bathroom.
Notice:
If your plant's leaves are curling up, a possible cause could be a location that is too sunny.
It can be this substrate
Humus soil is sufficient for this plant. For better permeability, loamy soil should be mixed with some sand. Because this plant does not like waterlogging in addition to drought.
time for planting
Young plants are commercially available from March to around October. You can plant them straight away in the garden at home. But the really optimal time for planting outdoors is spring. Then the plant has enough time to root and to establish its winter hardiness. For planting as a houseplant, however, there is no time limit.
If you propagate Jiaogulan yourself, for example using cuttings, the young plants must have reached a certain size before they can be planted. If necessary, they should remain in the pot for the first year and overwinter indoors in a frost-free and bright place. They are then planted out in spring.
How to plant in the garden
- Thoroughly water the root ball.
- Dig a planting hole.
- Mix in some mature compost to the excavation.
- Don't plant the plant too deep and press it down lightly.
- Water the plant.
- Set up a long climbing aid and tie the existing tendrils to it.
Planting in the bucket
Use a 5 liter pot for young plants. The home of large specimens should have a volume of at least 10 liters. In both cases, the pot must be perforated and provided with a drainage layer. If Jiaogulan is not cultivated as a hanging plant, it also needs a climbing aid in the pot.
