As a Mediterranean plant, the curry herb prefers a warm and dry location with lots of light. It does not tolerate waterlogging at all, but prolonged dryness does not bother it much. It needs relatively little water and nutrients.

Where does curry herb really feel good?
You can plant your curry herb in the garden throughout the summer. A rock garden or Mediterranean garden with rather dry, stony or sandy soil is suitable, for example. A sunny location is better than a partially shaded one.
Can curry herb overwinter outside?
The curry herb is conditionally hardy, so it tolerates light frost at least for a short time. Therefore, in a harsh area, it should not necessarily winter outside. Winter quarters with around + 10 °C are ideal.
The essentials in brief:
- not really hardy
- warm sunny location preferred
