Loyal to men is considered moderately easy to care for. It does need a lot of water and nutrient-rich soil, but otherwise no complicated care. By cutting back in summer when flowering is waning, you can encourage the blue lobelia to flower a second time.

Sow faithfully
As Mannentreu is very sensitive to frost and germinates warm, it is best to sow it in pots or in a heated greenhouse. The ideal germination temperature is 16-18 °C, below 15 °C the seeds do not germinate at all.
Male faithful is also one of the light germs. Therefore, cover the seeds with very little soil or do without it and only press the seeds lightly. During the germination period, they need consistently high humidity. After about one to two weeks, the first little plants can be seen.
Plant male faithful
After the ice saints in May, you can plant the blue lobelia in the garden. On warm days, the young plants are allowed to go out on the balcony earlier. However, they should spend the night in the warmth. Give the male-loyal a warm sunny place, it will thank you with lush flowers.
Loyal to men on the balcony
Men's Faith not only cuts a fine figure in the rock garden or at the edge of the bed, but also on the balcony. However, this should be on the sunny side of the house, because men love the warmth.
Pour and fertilize properly
Men's Faith requires a relatively large amount of water, especially during the flowering period. It should be watered once a day, more often on warm days. But be sure to avoid waterlogging. Add some liquid fertilizer to the irrigation water about twice a month. The need for nutrients is particularly high during flowering.
Loyal to men in winter
Loyal to men is not frost hardy. Although it can overwinter in the cold greenhouse, it is usually only cultivated once a year. This means that after flowering, the Jungstreu is disposed of and sown again the following year. This is much less complicated than hibernation.
