The spiderwort is suitable and popular both as a houseplant and as an outdoor plant. But at which location is it stimulated to perform at its best and forms a compact growth and many flowers?

Outdoors: everything is possible
In the garden, a sunny to partially shaded location should be chosen for the slightly poisonous spiderwort. This plant tolerates extremes like cold, dark corners, but it also defies heat. While the location may vary, the floor should have the following characteristics:
- humorous
- relaxed
- permeable
- nutritious
- moderately moist
In the room: bright
As a houseplant, the spiderwort needs a bright spot in a room with temperatures between 20 and 25 °C. Bright sunlight e.g. B. on the south window does not tolerate it. Then it becomes more susceptible to pests and the maintenance effort is greater.
tips
The less light is available, the more the shoots of the spiderwort wither.
