This ground cover is non-toxic before, during and after its flowering period. All parts of the plant - the blue to violet-blue flowers, the felt-like leaves, the stems and roots, the capsule fruits and the seeds are free of harmful substances.
Protection in handling is unnecessary
When handling it, you therefore do not need to wear protective gloves or wash your hands afterwards. On the contrary: You can use the flowers of the blue cushion as a decoration for salads or starter plates, for example. With their blue color they make an impression.
Animals are not endangered either
Pets are not at risk either. If your cat, dog, rabbit, hamster or other animal nibbles on the hardy blue cushion, it will all turn out well. The blue pillow does not contain any toxic substances. Only in rough quantities one should not consume this plant raw. This can lead to incompatibilities.
