Water brings life to every garden. It is water that enables plants to blossom and grow. When used creatively, water can also enrich your garden.

The garden pond as a biotope
The classic water design in the garden is the garden pond. Depending on personal preference, this can either be very formal or wildly overgrown and resemble a natural pond. If you want to increase biodiversity in your garden, you should opt for the second option. When designing a natural pond, you can learn a lot from nature. Take a walk around the area and keep your eyes peeled. How overgrown are the natural ponds? What would fit in your garden? A riparian zone overgrown with ferns and grass offers the ideal environment for water-loving small animals and, with a little luck, one or the other dragonfly will pay you a visit. Water lilies are also ideal for making a natural pond attractive.
Graceful: the fountain
Above all, we are familiar with fountains of all kinds from public parks, which give every pond an eye-catcher and breathe life into it. Fountains are particularly elegant in formal gardens, but they can also be integrated well into natural gardens. Either the fountain system can be installed directly under the water surface or a stone sculpture is used as a support. The required pump power depends on the size of the desired fountain.
Exhilarating: Your own waterfall
Although you will not be able to recreate Niagara Falls in your garden, it is not impossible to build a real waterfall in the garden, especially in gardens with a slope. The waterfall can be designed particularly attractively using natural stones. Soon you won't want to be without the soothing sound of the rippling water.
