If you have just bought a young palm lily, you have to be patient until it blooms. Because the plant has to be a few years old. A yucca in the living room doesn't actually bloom at all.
What does the flower of the palm lily look like?
The fragrant flowers of the palm lily grow on inflorescences that are up to two meters long. They are white to slightly yellowish and bell-shaped, similar to lily of the valley. The flowering period is between June and October.
How can you support flowering?
The yucca blooms when it has reached the appropriate age. Houseplants usually do not flower at all, outdoor plants do not need any support, only sufficient water. Waterlogging must be avoided at all costs.
