The flower of the panicle hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata) shows great differences compared to other types of hydrangea. The individual flowers are usually arranged in elongated, cone-shaped panicles. Panicle hydrangeas originally came from Japan and China.

Most panicle hydrangea varieties have creamy-white flowers

Creamy white flowers predominate

Most panicle hydrangeas flower creamy white, but the color often changes to pink as they fade. In addition, many varieties flower very late, with the dwarf hydrangea "Dharuma" being an exception. "Dharuma" shows its creamy white flowers in the months of May to June. Due to the early flowering, this variety is an exception to the rule! - the flowers already created in the previous year. You should therefore not cut back "Dharuma" in the spring; if necessary, the shoots should be shortened slightly.
