They are often densely filled and appear in the most dazzling colors. Ranunculus just looks fantastic. However, if you want to plant the bulbs or sow the seeds, you should not be rash when choosing a location!

From sunny to shady - everything is possible
You can plant your ranunculus in the sun, in the semi-shade or even in the shade. These perennials are extremely undemanding and bloom happily and colorfully even in the shade. However, they generally prefer a sunny, cool and sheltered location.
The location can be under shady trees or bushes, as long as the soil is right. Ranunculus makes the following demands on the substrate:
- permeable
- humorous
- nutritious
- not prone to wetness
- to keep well moist
tips
Direct southern exposures on balconies and terraces are rather unsuitable for ranunculus. It gets too hot for these plants there.
