Marguerites - with their delicate and lavishly opulent cup-shaped flowers and their dense growth, they are considered THE balcony plants along with other flowers. What should be considered when choosing a location and handling it?

The perfect balcony plants!
There are several reasons for daisies as balcony plants:
- feel at home in tubs and even in balcony boxes (€109.00).
- bloom all summer
- decorative
- non-toxic and medicinal
- compact, bushy growth
- easy-care
- There are many different varieties with different flower colors
Where to plant on the balcony?
In a clay or terracotta pot or sociable next to other balcony flowers such as geraniums and petunias, the daisies look fine. Balconies are ideal for them if they are in a south-east to west-facing position.
They need a sunny to partially shaded location to thrive. Daisies tolerate wind and rain, which is why they can easily be planted in balcony boxes on the front railing.
Water plentifully and fertilize generously
On hot summer days, the soil in the planter dries out quickly. Therefore, the motto is: Water plentifully, sometimes up to twice a day! The bale should not dry out, but at the same time should not be exposed to standing water.
From April to the end of August, the daisies on your balcony will be supplied with fertilizer. This is important so that the daisies can bloom for a long time. You can use long-term fertilizer, for example in the form of sticks or liquid fertilizer.
Remove faded flowers every day
In the summer you go to the balcony once a day to water the plants. This is also a good chance to cut off the old/withered daisy flowers. She thanks it by the fact that she constantly develops new flowers and blooms until autumn.
Get in from the end of October
Many varieties are not winter hardy and in the pot there is a risk that the root ball will freeze and the plant will dry up (cannot absorb water). So if you still want to enjoy your marguerite next year, you should keep it bright and frost-free from the end of October.
tips
So that the marguerite does not lose its strength and vegetates, it should be repotted every year. On the occasion, it can also be shared and thus multiplied.
