The golden nettle, which multiplies very quickly and covers the ground through its runners, begins to flower as soon as the flowering period of the last spring bloomers is coming to an end. Depending on the location and weather conditions, Lamium galeobdolon flowers from April / May until late summer. The flowering period usually ends between July and August. Golden nettles can have golden yellow to pale yellow flowers, which is why some authors assign them to different subspecies due to the different flower color. However, this classification is controversial.
