On the other hand, Cape daisies in pot culture should be fertilized occasionally. Ideally, they receive a fertilizer dose every 1 to 2 weeks. They should receive new nutrients at least every 4 weeks. Fertilization is important so that the plants can produce many flowers. Liquid fertilizers are suitable, but also long-term fertilizers. In August, the application of fertilizer is stopped, since now the rest period begins.

When is the best time to cut and until when is the cut done?

This is worth noting when cutting:

What helps against aphids on this perennial?

Sometimes aphids appear, especially during dry periods. Nettle stock, horseradish stock or field horsetail stock help preventively. If the cap basket is infested, spraying it with soft soap (€44.90) or a stinging nettle decoction will help against the pests.

Does the Cape daisy need winter protection?

Since the Cape Marguerite is not hardy, it should be overwintered:
