Gardening is living climate protection. Direct contact with living nature, working in your own garden can be more satisfying and relaxing than almost anything else. As publishers of Gartenjournal.net, we can wholeheartedly share this feeling. Nevertheless, almost every garden owner is already feeling the effects of climate change directly:

- the increasing drought in summer
- Storms, heavy rain and numerous thunderstorms and far too much rain
- Seasons that seem completely out of joint
- numerous plants that simply no longer grow in our latitudes because they can no longer adequately adapt to the current climate
Climate change is no longer a theoretical phenomenon - it has long since arrived in our gardens.
And not only in our gardens - but also in every other area of life. We are faced with the task of remodeling our world as quickly as possible in a climate-friendly manner - in all areas of life, from industry to mobility, from agriculture to trade and services. This is an enormous task, but one that we cannot avoid if we want to avoid far worse and more dramatic climate impacts.

Our request to all Gartenjournal readers
Go to the polls!
And please vote for a party that takes climate protection seriously and whose positions on individual issues coincide with what you personally think is right. Politicians must be made absolutely clear that climate protection right now must be tackled vigorously and with concrete measures. Every voice is needed for this.
the WWF future election check enables you to compare your personal opinions on all aspects of climate protection (energy production, mobility, industry, agriculture and climate targets) with the official positions of the major parties.
It is even simpler and clearer Campact climate check. It shows in a very simple and clear way the positions of the individual parties on all key climate protection demands.
With the tool from #Selectable2021 you can check the positions on climate protection of the candidates in the individual constituencies in order to cast your first vote after well-founded consideration.
tips
If you are worried that fighting the climate crisis will actually lead to unaffordable increases in prices and massive economic restrictions, you should not immediately believe the propaganda that is being spread in this way. the social-o-mat of Diakonie shows transparently and clearly what actual financial effects the programs of the individual parties will have on people with low incomes, on work, family and migration in general.
Please do not take this topic lightly - it is about the future of all of us, for which we now have the last chance to set the course. Every vote counts. In this general election, we all have our future in our own hands.
