In some regions, cats seem to have dominion over gardens. They know their favorite places where they regularly bury their excrement. In order to keep the four-legged friends away from your own property, you must focus on the animals' sense of smell and taste.
Cats like to do their business in soft beds
This helps against cats:

With the right plants, you can permanently deter cats from roaming around in your garden. The fine noses react sensitively to the smells of various herbs. You can achieve the greatest possible effects by planting rue, lemon balm, peppermint and lavender at the edge of the property. The harp bush has good results against cats. This piss off plant, known by its botanical name Plectranthus ornatus, is considered a prime natural cat deterrent. Incidentally, these aromatic plants also deter martens, dogs and rabbits.

Coffee drinkers can use the rest of the filter to protect their beds from cats. Make sure that you sprinkle the cat's passageways in flower beds, on meadows or sidewalks thickly with the coffee residues. Repeat this process every morning for about a week.
It's not the smell that deters the velvet paws. As soon as they venture over the treated areas, the moist coffee powder gets caught on their paws. When the animal cleans these with its tongue, it notices the bitter taste and learns to avoid your garden.

So-called cat diffusers in solid form use intensive odors such as garlic, which the four-legged friends do not like. In the case of ecological products, the substances are bound to clay minerals, so that these do not pose a threat to the environment and can be incorporated into the bed. Their deterring effect lasts for three to four weeks, with 200 grams of clay granules being sufficient for an area of around 50 square meters.

Spreading bark mulch in the bed is often considered a deterrent, but the loose material often attracts cats. The four-legged friends like to bury their excrement and chopped pieces of bark are a good choice for this behavior, so it is better to avoid them.
