By nature, there are different subspecies of the Phalaenopsis and thus also different colors. The distribution area extends from Bhutan across Southeast Asia to northern Australia. Breeders have developed countless hybrids in the most beautiful colors from this.

What colors and types are there?
The Phalaenopsis was bred as early as the 19th century and the first hybrids were created. Doritaenopsis is also a hybrid of Phalaenopsis and its closely related Doritis. The aim was to combine the best characteristics of these genera. The result is an orchid with mostly small, but long-lasting flowers and a compact growth. You will find here very interesting miniature orchids.
The color palette of the Phalaenopsis has become very diverse, ranging from pure white to pink, pink, yellow and shades of red to violet. Even almost black flowers are possible. The care of individual varieties hardly differs. Propagation of these orchids is not possible for laypeople through seeds. However, if the plant develops childlets, you are welcome to try cultivating them.
