The Pilea is an evergreen houseplant with impressive, plate-shaped leaves, giving it its nickname UFO plant. But only in the period from May to June small flowers appear between the leaves.

Tips for promoting flowering
The Ufo plant thrives best in a warm location with high humidity. In winter, however, you should store the Pilea in a cool place. A temperature of 10°C to 14°C during the winter months should stimulate flowering in the following year.
