Different growth of the cuttings
The Pilea trains two different types of investors:
- Offshoots that grow directly on the mother plant
- Self-rooted offshoots that protrude from the ground some distance away
The former can easily be cut off with a knife and multiplied according to the following instructions. You should cut off a small part of the root for this.
In order to get separately growing offshoots, it is necessary to dig up the mother plant in a radius of 3 cm. The cuttings have grown underground with the original plant. Also cut off part of the root here.
