description
The Marzahn recreation park was inaugurated on the occasion of the 750 year celebration of the city in 1987. Eleven themed gardens, including a Balinese, Oriental, Korean and Christian garden, are gradually being added. The Chinese "Garden of the Recovered Moon" is one of the visitor magnets. It symbolizes reunification and is also Germany's largest plant of its kind. The Karl Förster Staudengarten, whose distinctive solitary shrubs and magnificent flowering shrubs form a sea of flowers all year round, is the attraction for all lovers of flowering plants.
