- Place the pot in semi-shade and warm. It is ideal when the temperature is at least 25 °C. The plant must not be exposed to direct sunlight.

Water the young plant sparingly after planting. Your roots must not be too wet. She can also get some fertilizer, but in small doses and only together with irrigation water.
Only after about four months is the young plant well rooted and mature enough to be cared for like a full-grown Guzmania. However, you still have to wait about two years before flowering. At that time, the new Guzmania will cast out Kindel herself, anticipating that her end is near too.
