At the end of November, when it's getting colder outside and it's getting dark early, almost every city is enticed by Advent and Christmas markets with their glittering lights. Unfortunately, contemplation suffers a little on the well-known, large markets due to the large number of visitors. The situation is completely different at the smaller Christmas markets, which score with a romantic atmosphere and a cozy ambience.

Romantic Christmas market anno 1900 Dresden
The traders of this very atmospheric Christmas market have tailored their offers to the period between 1800 and 1920. Dressed in the garb of this era, they exclusively offer traditional goods. The market focuses on idyll and cosiness and ensures that you can relax in the historical setting from the unfortunately often hectic pre-Christmas period.
The Christmas market takes place continuously from 30.11 to 23.12. and is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is free.
Winter market Carolinensiel
The museum harbor of the small North Sea village forms the romantic backdrop for this Christmas market. Highlights are the floating Christmas tree and the many stalls that are set up along the Harle to the sea. In addition to regional specialties or a stiff grog, you will find tasteful handicrafts and lots of little things that make wonderful gifts. The market opens on November 23rd and is also open over the holidays until January 3rd, 2022-2023.
