Verbena, which is usually annual in this country, can be eaten as a herb. However, you should not overdo it with consumption. Verbena contains verbenaline, a glycoside that is harmful in high doses. Among other things, it is responsible for their bitter taste.
To date, no poisoning by verbena has been reported. Quite the opposite: Used with caution, the verb can help with:
