Phlox is an ornament for any flower garden, especially when it is in bloom, whether you choose mostly low-growing annuals or the perennial herb phlox. If there is no flowering, there are good reasons for this.

Why isn't the phlox blooming?
The phlox does not particularly like it when it is planted very deeply. This could result in the plant flowering sparsely or not at all. Have you watered your plants enough and given them enough fertilizer? Pests in the root area are also sometimes responsible for the lack of flowering.
What to do if the phlox does not bloom?
If you are not satisfied with the flowering of your phlox, then it is best to dig up the plant. Check the roots thoroughly for pest infestation. If all is well, replant the phlox, but not quite as deep as before. Water the plant well and give it some fertilizer and more space if necessary.
Sometimes the phlox is also very sensitive to its environment and location. If you have taken all measures and your plant still does not bloom, then the only thing left is to switch to another variety that may tolerate the soil or the neighboring plants better.
The essentials in brief:
- planted too deep?
- replant, a little less deep
- Pests in the root area?
- pest control or disposal
- sufficiently fertilized?
- poured enough?
tips and tricks
When planting, make sure not to plant your phlox too deep in the ground and give it enough space to create the best conditions for lush flowering.
