The angel's trumpet, with its large, curved and at the same time delicate flowers, is actually angel-like - and its leaves are also extremely decorative with their flat structures, which have different edges depending on the variety. Unfortunately, the beauty of the angel's trumpet does not come for free - if you want to get a specimen for your gardening kingdom, you have to reckon with some work.
Your origin
On the one hand, the plant is not a native species - its origin is in the South American Andes, where it does not experience temperatures like our winters. Outdoor cultivation is therefore normally not possible in this country. It should be kept in the tub, but it must contain a substrate that is as voluminous and drainable as possible. Of course, this goes hand in hand with more nutrients.

Above all, the angel's trumpet belongs to the nightshade family and is therefore very hungry and thirsty. Due to its energy-sapping flowers and large leaves, it also evaporates vast amounts of water and needs a lot of nutrients. In order to grow them magnificently, intensive fertilizer application is extremely useful.
So what makes water and fertilizer so necessary for angel trumpets:

Like many heavy feeders, the angel's trumpet should be fertilized in two ways throughout the main vegetation phase. So that it never goes into a dangerous phase of hunger, you should first provide it with a long-term fertilizer after the winter has hibernated - ideally, or if necessary after you have treated it to a larger pot.
short-term fertilizer
In addition, regular short-term fertilizer application is necessary. In the spring you should use a growth fertilizer with an increased nitrogen content. It strengthens the plant in the initial period after its hibernation and prepares it for its strenuous flowering phase. When the first flowers are formed, a special bloom fertilizer for potted plants with an increased potassium value is recommended. You can also dissolve simple blue grain fertilizer in the irrigation water.
Fertilizer stop from the end of August
At the end of the vegetation phase, around the end of August, you should then stop fertilizing so that the angel's trumpet can gradually adjust to its resting phase.
