Even if beach chairs are designated as weatherproof or even winterproof, you should safely overwinter your beach chair. The materials often suffer from the moisture and frost in winter, so you have to repair the basket afterwards.

Overwinter the beach chair as frost-free as possible
It is best if you store your beach chair in a sheltered place in the garage or basement in winter. Wetness and frost otherwise give the material a lot of trouble.
If you have to overwinter the beach chair outside, place it on wooden planks, a wooden pallet or stones to make it winter-proof and protect it from moisture from below.
Cover it with a beach chair cover, available from garden supply stores. The cover may only be put on when the beach chair is completely dry. On dry days in winter, you should occasionally air the cover so that the beach chair doesn't get moldy.
tips
You can easily sew new covers and fabric coverings for your beach chair yourself. Use solid, impregnated fabric for upholstery. Awning fabric is well suited.
