However, it requires well thought-out planning in order to shield other people's views of your own garden use as specifically as possible with a privacy screen tailored to the special situation of this type of garden.

Ensure privacy with a high level of privacy protection

In order not to be constantly exposed to the looks of neighbors and onlookers despite the slope of your own garden, you can provide effective privacy around your own property with tall shrubs or trees. In doing so, you not only have to consider the width growth of these plants at the base, but also the legally regulated minimum distances to the property line and the respective maximum heights. Even if initially nobody is bothered by the height of your planned privacy hedge, the shadows cast on neighboring agricultural areas, for example, can later become a point of contention.

With properties on a hillside, it is often difficult or even impossible to effectively prevent all views of your own property. A natural swimming pond or a swimming pool, like terraces or seating areas, are among the areas where a little privacy can mean a high increase in quality of life in the garden. However, the situation is different if a privacy protection with regular or to be built with an irregular slope. So that there are no large gaps and the need for major earthworks as a result, privacy screens should be lined up as narrowly as possible. It is usually less complicated when a green privacy screen is used, since the usual types of cypress and the cherry laurel on a hillside can easily be cut off at an angle on the upper edge of the hedge.
