A beautiful mini pond can be built from car tires
Only little space in the garden, but the desire for a small ornamental pond has been there for a long time? Almost free, but still a natural touch of color on the property is a self-made garden pond made of tires. Tires that have been taken out of service and are correspondingly large are almost always in stock at construction machinery dealers or farms, so you only need to get the following materials and tools:

Preparation of the tire for the garden pond
First, the old tire should be cut off between the carcass and the bead core on the side that is at the top at the end, so that a smooth edge is created that cannot later damage the pond liner. The closer this cut is to the outside of the profile, the larger the pond diameter and water content will be afterwards, which can add up to 50 to 80 cm to the total circumference of a combine tire.
A small pond is formed
The excavation pit that has been excavated and solidified on the ground is first lined with pond liner, which must have a correspondingly large overhang on the sides in order to completely enclose the tire that is then sunk. After this has been inserted, the film is temporarily attached. Now the still empty pond can already be filled with coarse gravel. On the edges, depending on your taste, lay stones that you have collected yourself or stone slabs to hide the tires and foil to the last detail until your pool looks completely natural.
So that it is no longer recognizable that your garden pond was built from tires, replant the entire terrain with lots of fresh greenery. In addition to water lilies on the pond surface, bamboo, reeds and zebra grass, for example, are particularly impressive.
