In principle, the easy-care coffee plant is non-toxic. However, their seeds can be dangerous in large quantities, especially for small pets such as budgerigars, as they contain the alkaloid caffeine. Therefore, some caution is required.
The leaves of the coffee plant are non-toxic
Even small children should not put the seeds in their mouths. If you don't want to grow new plants from the seeds, you can simply remove them after flowering. Otherwise, make sure that neither your children nor your pets can eat these seeds.
