With a little manual skill, the growth usually succeeds without major complications. It works even better if a helper is available for the assembly of wall elements and roofs. Nevertheless, you should plan the time for this work generously and consistently observe the enclosed assembly instructions. When delivering a ready-to-use complete set, it is particularly important to check that all packaging is intact, if possible in the presence of the forwarding agent.

Construction begins with the choice of location and orientation

If you work precisely when building the greenhouse, you can usually do this work in one day. Assembly is safer and less strenuous if a helper is available and the individual parts are assembled exactly according to the assembly instructions supplied ex works.

Best to start in the morning

Depending on the size and equipment, assembling the greenhouse parts can take a whole day. So that everything is in place by nightfall, it is best to start with the construction of the greenhouse early in the morning and if possible when there is no wind. The easiest way to assemble is to first unpack all the individual parts and put them down in the order shown in the overall picture in the assembly instructions. At the same time, the completeness of the accessory material is checked before the start of final assembly.

Build tools to secure greenhouse

  • Cordless screwdriver with various bits (slot and cross)

Work exactly according to the instructions and foundation plan

Especially when assembling the parts of the foundation, all connecting elements must fit together with millimeter precision so that later the wall and gable parts fit and have a firm hold on each other. A detailed foundation plan is included with the assembly instructions. If not, these important documents are available for download on the online portals of most manufacturers. After assembling the frame parts, this is connected to the prepared foundation as a whole and should now be be anchored firmly and without play.

The puzzle with wall elements and roofing

When covering, especially with glass, you must of course work very carefully so that there is no accidental damage just before the finish. If twin-wall sheets are installed when building the greenhouse, the side with UV protection must always face outwards. However, if the protective film has been removed, the coated side is no longer visually perceptible. If there is no corresponding imprint on the frame, it is best to mark the correct outside yourself, also on the door.

When all parts of the greenhouse are assembled exactly according to the assembly instructions, it is better to leave the windows and doors open for a few hours. The time should be used immediately to protect all seals on these openings from wear and tear with a silicone-containing agent (according to the manufacturer's instructions) in the interest of a long service life.
