The wreath sling from Madagascar is always nice to look at with its shoots several meters long and the beautiful pure white flowers. Its fragrance, reminiscent of jasmine, is beguiling. Unfortunately, this exotic plant is also very poisonous.

The wreath snare is poisonous to humans and animals

This applies to all parts of the plant, including the sap. This can cause skin irritation. For this reason, you should wear gloves when repotting or pruning your wreath sling. Remove any fallen leaves immediately. Incidentally, the wreath sling is not exactly easy to care for. Even watering with hard water causes the leaves to turn yellow.

The essentials in brief:

  • all parts of the plant very poisonous!
  • Sap can cause skin irritation
  • also very toxic to pets
  • If you suspect poisoning, go to the doctor or veterinarian immediately

tips

Be sure to place your wreath sling out of the reach of small children and pets, or surrender the plant.
