The room fir comes from Australia and is therefore not hardy. It is therefore cultivated in our latitudes as a houseplant in a pot. While it tolerates warm temperatures well in summer, you need to overwinter them much cooler in winter.
In winter, the indoor fir must not be too brightKeep the indoor fir cooler in winter
In summer, the indoor fir copes well with temperatures between 7 and 22 degrees. However, the humidity must be high when it is warmer. Otherwise, indoor firs react with falling needles. Occasionally they even lose entire branches.
In winter, an indoor fir tree has no place in the living room. It's just too warm there. Find a new location for wintering where temperatures are between five and ten degrees. The place must be bright, but must not get direct sun.
Water sparingly in winter to avoid waterlogging. Don't fertilize during the winter.
