In order for the Anthurium to fully develop the bright color of the bracts, the location must be bright enough, but direct sunlight should be avoided. There are also anthuriums that are treated with hormones for sale, giving them brilliant white blooms. If the effect of these substances wears off, the flowers become slightly greenish.
