If the Zamioculcas zamiifolia or lucky feather suddenly gets brown leaves, there can be a whole range of reasons behind it. Incorrect water supply, too much or too little fertilizer, dry heating air or temperatures that are too high: All of these pathological changes can usually be eliminated with better care or a different location.

Do not water Zamioculcas too frequently
One of the most common problems with the lucky feather is over-pouring. Zamioculcas is a succulent plant, i. H. it stores water in its rhizomes as well as in its fleshy leaves. Overwatering will cause the leaves to turn brown and dry up, and the shoots will show stunted growth. The substrate, on the other hand, often smells musty. Pot out affected plants, cut away mushy, brownish roots and plant the Zamie in fresh soil. Also ensure good drainage.
tips
In summer it is enough to water the Zamioculcas about every two weeks, in winter it only needs water every four weeks.
