Cypress trees need sufficient moisture in the soil. Regular watering is therefore absolutely necessary. However, the cypress does not tolerate waterlogging. A certain amount of sensitivity is therefore required when pouring.

How to water cypresses properly
Cypresses should never dry out, but do not tolerate waterlogging. Therefore, always water the trees when the surface has dried.
To prevent waterlogging, you should create drainage before planting cypresses in the garden and ensure permeable soil.
Even when kept in a pot, it is advisable to cover the bottom of the pot with a drainage layer.
Water cypresses even in winter
Cypress trees also need to be watered in winter, especially when snow has not fallen or strong winds dry the soil.
Water your cypress trees or a cypress hedge on frost-free days. Slightly warm water is ideal for this.
tips
Whenever possible, use rainwater to water cypress trees. The water may well be stagnant. Pond water is also well suited for watering.
