- Sunny, semi-shady position to light shade
- Any normal garden soil, from loamy clay to sandy
- Preferably fresh and moist to moderately dry and calcareous
Unless you plant a corkscrew willow with a root barrier, a sufficient distance to the neighbor is strongly recommended. The vehement urge to spread not only takes place above ground with an annual increase of up to 100 cm. Likewise, the roots conquer the garden and have no qualms about crossing the property lines.
