Apricot, rosé, creamy white or fire red? Depending on the species, peonies come in a wide variety of flower colors and you can find them not only in the garden, but also in flower shops. But when is your season?

From spring to early summer
The season of peonies depends on their relatively short flowering period. The first peonies are usually available in April. The high season then arrived at the beginning of June and lasted until shortly after Pentecost. You should then find the last specimens at the end of June/beginning of July.
What else you should know:
- Unit price is higher than roses
- However, flowers are larger than roses
- ideal for bouquets
- entire plant is in season until September (foliage only dies then)
- Planting season is in the fall
tips
After the peonies have bloomed, other flowers like roses do almost justice to the plants. Before the peony season, however, it is the ranunculus.
