If you want to inspect and admire peonies extensively when they are in bloom, you should simply plant them in your own garden. Planting is not that difficult. But timing is important. So the question arises: when?

Planting peonies - in spring or autumn
Peonies are planted when they are out of bloom and want/have to go to rest:
- ideal in early autumn
- Autumn planting: enough time for rooting until next season
- Alternatively: plant in spring
- Only plant peonies in tubs in spring
If you plant your peony in autumn, you should be aware that the plant needs some protection in the root area during the winter. Cover it with a layer of brushwood to protect against frostbite!
