Botanically, miniature roses are simply roses. Since there are now over 30,000 different types of roses, these are divided into classes and groups in horticultural terms. According to this definition, miniature roses are roses with a small stature, with a maximum height of approx. 50 cm.

A wide variety of dwarf or miniature roses is also commercially available. While old species often react very sensitively to fungi, today's cultivated forms have been able to breed a certain resistance to them. Other breeding goals are, for example, a greater willingness to flower, simple care or better weather tolerance.
How do I find the right miniature rose for me?
When looking for a suitable dwarf rose, you can use various criteria as a guide. In addition to your personal taste, the conditions in your garden must be taken into account if you want to enjoy your roses for a long time. For example, only a few varieties tolerate partial shade, most prefer full sun. However, they are all hardy to a certain extent.
In a humid and rainy area, a more weather-resistant variety is recommended, otherwise a rich abundance of flowers can hardly be expected. A certain resistance to fungi is also very advantageous here.
