Once the leaves are fully formed, long stalks shoot up. The flower buds form at the end. This is usually the case in June. From the end of June the buds open. The flowers are present until August (in rare cases until September).
Prune after flowering
After the flowers have said goodbye, you can cut the herb down to just above the ground. In this way, you save the plant from forming seeds, which robs it of a lot of energy.
