The price of a copper beech depends on whether you need small copper beeches for a hedge or want to plant a larger individual tree. Delivery as bare-root trees, in bales or in containers is also reflected in the price.

The price of red beech depends on various factors

What does the price of a red beech depend on?

  • Simple copper beech
  • Weeping Red Beech
  • copper beech
  • mourning copper beech
  • standard

Various forms of red beech are commercially available. Simple copper beeches are rarely planted in the garden as a single tree. Particularly decorative forms such as copper beeches and hanging beeches can usually be found in gardens and parks.

However, these have their price. You pay upwards of 300 euros for a green-leaved hanging red beech with a height of two meters and a trunk circumference of ten centimetres.

A refined mourning copper beech with the same dimensions, on the other hand, costs from 500 euros and upwards. (as of September 2016).

The size on delivery matters

If you are in a hurry, buy a beech that is a few years old and has reached a certain height. The price of these trees depends on the trunk circumference. The thicker this is, the older the copper beech is and the more money you have to put on the table for the tree.

Red beeches for the hedge are inexpensive

If you need beech trees for a hedge, you can get away with it more cheaply. The trees are usually offered in larger quantities in different sizes.

For 25 meters of red beech hedge, 60 to 70 euros are often enough. (as of September 2016).

Where do you buy a red beech?

If you would like to choose your beech tree yourself and also get expert advice, you should visit a local tree nursery. The price for the common beech is higher there, but the delivery route is short, and if something doesn't work out, the experts will come to your home.

It is cheaper to order the red beech online. Here, however, you have no influence on which red beech is delivered. The advice is often not very intensive and the tree is often on the road for several days.

tips

Red beeches can be propagated by seeds or cuttings. If the price for a finished red beech is too high for you and you have enough time and patience, you can grow your red beech yourself.
