An almost flake-like floating flower is enthroned on a long stalk. The characteristically blue to blue-purple flowers of the knapweed appear in May and, with luck, they may bloom again. But the knapweed does not bloom equally well at every location.

The sunnier, the more flowering
The location for the knapweed can be in full sun. That's where she feels best. A partially shaded place would be an acceptable compromise for them. Only in the shade should it not be planted. Basically, the less sun, the fewer flowers.
Further recommendations for the location of the knapweed are:
- ideal plant neighbors: lady's mantle, white and yellow yarrow, lupins
- good places: cottage gardens, roadsides, front gardens, herb beds, house walls, fence areas
- Soil requirements: rich in nutrients, well-drained, moderately moist, loamy
tips
Do not plant the knapweed in a sheltered spot in direct sunlight. There, the maintenance effort increases, among other things, watering and protection against mildew infestation.
