The plant is in full bloom and advertises its appearance to be propagated. But is now the right time for it? Find out here.

The right time
If the plant has already opened its flower, it is usually too late to cut a cutting. It is best to remove the shoot before flowering, when the first buds appear on the stem. On the one hand, this makes it easier to identify a suitable cutting, on the other hand, the shoots are particularly robust and easy to grow at this time.
Cut cuttings during sprouting
While the plant sprouts, it puts all its energy into the formation of new shoots. If you now remove a cutting, it contains a particularly large amount of plant sap and carbohydrates. The propagation is sure to be successful at this time.
