Habaneros are one of the most popular types of chili in Germany because of their pronounced heat. But the eye doesn't miss out either. The numerous varieties are interestingly shaped and offer a wide range of colours. We present a few special specimens.

Habanero Orange
The fruits of this variety are bright orange in color after ripening. They reach a length of 30 to 40 cm and a width of 20 to 30 cm. Its shape is reminiscent of a folded lantern.

Habanero Red
This variant is one of the hottest chillies in the world and at the same time offers a fruity aroma. The fruits are also folded like lanterns, but turn red when ripe.

Habanero Purple
This chili variety comes from the USA. The fruits are about 5 cm long and about 3 cm wide. They are still green when unripe. If you harvest them after around 100 days of ripening, they will have turned purple.

Habanero mustard
The approximately 5 cm long fruits are heavily folded and thick-fleshed. They are initially green to violet in color and become yellow to mustard-colored as they ripen.

Chocolate
The shape of their fruits is typical Habanero: folded. But the chocolate brown color stands out and gave this strain its name. Its sharpness emerges a bit hesitantly at the beginning, only to then unfold with full force.

Habanero Red Savina
From 1994 to 2006, this variety was considered the hottest chili in the world. It is a protected Californian breed and is therefore rarely available outside of the USA. Its distinctive fruity aroma is reminiscent of oranges.

You don't have to let a crop surplus of this variety go unused. The fruits are easy to dry and can then be ground into powder.
Sweet habanero
This variety offers a fruity aroma, but completely omits the spiciness. It is ideal for anyone who does not like or cannot tolerate spicy food. The fruits are orange, round and wrinkled.
