Dogs are not necessarily herbivores by nature, meat is the main component of their diet. A few vegetables and fruit should not be missing from your menu. Like other dark leafy greens, spinach is high in fiber and works well to meet your dog's fiber needs.

Spinach as a supplementary food
Spinach is a good supplement for dogs because it contains many important vitamins and minerals. It is also an important iron supplier.
Feed steamed and pureed spinach
So that your dog can absorb the food better, you should definitely feed the spinach slightly steamed and pureed. As an uncut raw vegetable, spinach is difficult to digest.
Too much oxalic acid
Spinach has a natural content of oxalic acid. Fed every now and then and in small amounts, spinach is not harmful at all. Healthy dogs easily excrete oxalic acid.
Care should be taken with dogs prone to kidney stone formation. Spinach should be avoided in the feed. One-sided feeding with spinach is also not advisable.
