Porcini and some other mycorrhizal fungi, such as chanterelles, draw their vital energy from the roots of trees, while at the same time promoting their uptake of water and nutrients. This results in a relationship that proves to be beneficial for everyone involved.
Create conditions for boletus
Porcini mushrooms primarily grow in forest areas with a stand of spruce and oak. If you own such a forest property, you can create an open and sparse forest floor by thinning and cutting back ferns and shrubs. Food leftovers from porcini mushrooms can be applied to this, which often still have large amounts of mushroom spores adhering to them if they have not been washed. This procedure can sometimes lead to a successful colonization of porcini mushrooms.
