Juicy, low-calorie stalks and a delicate flavor make celery a popular vegetable and aromatic condiment for the kitchen. Growing it in the garden is easy if its location, soil, sowing, transplanting, and season and growth requirements are taken into account.

"Tango" and "Improved Golden Giant Celery" are self-bleaching varieties. Other popular varieties include Spartacus F1 and Tall Utah.

Which location should the celery get?

Celery stalks do best in full sun. A sheltered place in the garden protects the sensitive plants from the cold.
