Coconut palms are not forage plants, but are considered non-toxic. However, it has quite sharp-edged leaves which, if consumed in large quantities, could damage your cat's stomach lining. Make sure that your cat does not nibble too much on the coconut tree.

There are cats who like to eat coconut. Animals often have a great craving for nutrients that they particularly need at the moment. They seem to know their needs well. At other times, they like to eat other things that their body or immune system then needs again.

As with dogs, you can regularly sprinkle coconut flakes over your cat's wet food to prevent worms. It is usually eaten with pleasure. However, it is only suitable for prevention, not treatment, if your cat already has worms.
