The right location for the buckhorn
The buckhorn prefers sunny to full sun locations, but it also thrives a little less vigorously in partial shade. A place in the garden for sowing buckhorn should be chosen that is both sunny and evenly moist. Since the buckhorn can develop very deep roots, cultivation in pots or on the balcony is only possible to a limited extent.
Plantain needs of the soil
The soil for the buckhorn should ideally be medium-heavy with a balanced ratio of clay and sand. You only need to fertilize a nutrient-rich soil sparingly with compost or herbal manure. Lime-poor locations with a slightly acidic pH value are preferred by buckhorn.
