It's no wonder that the gerbera has been the world's most popular cut flower for decades. The countless colours, shapes and sizes of the flowers can be wonderfully combined with many other flowers. Even as a single flower, gerbera is very decorative. It is therefore worth growing different species in the house or in the garden.

The most common gerbera colors are red, orange, yellow, violet, salmon, pink and white. But the two-tone varieties are also very popular. Multi-colored gerbera blossoms are still quite new and are a decorative eye-catcher, especially as a potted plant on the terrace and balcony.

What all gerbera flowers have in common is their shape. It consists of a pistil surrounded by a colored wreath of flower tubes. The stamp can also vary in color.
