What water quality does the gerbera need?
The delicate stems offer a large surface for bacteria to attack. Therefore, only use a previously cleaned vase and very fresh, lukewarm water.

Fill the vase only so full that the stems are no more than five centimeters deep in the water. Check the water level regularly and change the water more often, especially if it smells musty.

In the floral arrangement, too, it must be ensured that the gerbera gets enough water but does not rot. You cut the gerbera stem at an angle, insert it into the plugging material and then pull it out again a few millimeters. This creates a small water reservoir that ensures the water supply in the arrangement.
