Normal potting soil is sufficient
You can buy special soil for canna in the shops. For professionals, this can be a good choice. But for hobby gardeners, normal potting soil or potting soil is usually sufficient.
For planting in the garden, the soil can be loamy. Then there is good absorbency and the soil stays moist longer. It is advisable to use a pre-fertilized soil. It should be free of soil diseases and viruses. The most important nutrients are:
